The engine goes quiet once the sails fill, and the coastline slides past at walking pace. Thirty metres of wooden hull doing what it was built for.
Shade in the Afternoon
The shutters come half down when the sun turns, and lunch inside runs long past anyone's plan for the afternoon. At eight knots there is no hurry anyway.
Down the Ladder Again
Two ladders drop off the transom, which means nobody queues to get in. The afternoon disappears that way, one swim at a time.
Later Than You Meant To
The 2018 refit went right through the cabins, so nothing down here creaks the way an older gulet does. You wake later than you meant to, every time.
