Meet the Crew
Kamil YeşilCaptain
Kamil started sailing at 16 and gained his license early, working initially on the charter yacht Balina and progressing through the ranks after completing his military service. He has served as a captain since 2007 and became captain of North Wind in 2022, accumulating 23 years in the yachting industry.
Ayatullah DenizChef
Ayatullah has worked in kitchens since leaving high school and spent nearly 30 years in various positions at well-known restaurants in Istanbul, Bodrum and Cyprus. He specialises in hot and cold dishes, fish and desserts, holds hygiene and culinary/master certificates as well as a seaworthiness certificate, and has 5 years' experience in the yachting industry.
Nur Mehtap CengizStewardess
Nur Mehtap studied journalism and worked as a reporter and luxury editor writing about yachts, luxury watches and related topics before changing careers. She followed her passion for yachting and has been working on yachts for 4 years.
Ayşegül ŞimşekStewardess
Ayşegül has a varied background including roles in fast food, banking, construction assistance and maternity photography before moving into yachting. After several local jobs in Fethiye she began working as a stewardess and has around 2 years' experience in the yacht industry.
Yunus KesginAble Seaman
Yunus has a maritime education background and progressed through multiple deckhand roles from 2013 onward across commercial yachts and professional sailboats. He has around 10 years' experience in yachting and enjoys table tennis, sailing and water sports.
Doruk AtakanAble Seaman
Doruk studied maritime at university and has worked as a sailor/deckhand for eight years on yachts cruising the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. He is experienced in deck operations and enjoys water sports and sailing.
Mehmet Ali EratDeckhand
Mehmet has vocational technical training in electrical & electronics and has held roles in hotels and technical service prior to joining yachting. He has one year of experience in the yacht industry and lists gym, cycling, roller skating and diving among his interests.
