Good to Know
We want to make sure you're well prepared for your yacht holiday. Here are a few practical details you might want to know before you set off.
What is an APA?

What Happens If I Exceed My APA?
Your Captain will inform you in advance when you're approaching the budget limit, and you'll discuss the next steps together. Typically, a bank transfer to top up the funds ensures everything continues smoothly.
How Much Should I Tip the Crew?
In the Mediterranean, the standard practice is to tip 10-15% of your charter fee. This amount is shared equally among the crew. Bringing a thank-you card or a blank envelope is always a thoughtful gesture.
When Can We Speak to Our Crew?
We'll share your Captain's contact details a few weeks before your charter. If you'd like, we can set up a group chat between your party and the Captain to discuss plans and preferences before you embark.
Trip cost estimate
"Charter fee + APA — what will I actually pay?" A transparent calculation, not marketing copy.
Barbara cruises at 10 knots with ~180 L/h fuel consumption. A typical one-week itinerary (~210 nm) uses approximately3.780 litres of fuel — around €3.856 at current Croatiamarina prices — covered by your APA.
